About Us
Dr Verónica M.E. Zagare
Verónica Zagare holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology (Netherlands, 2018), a Master’s degree in Urban Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Buenos Aires, 2011), and a professional degree in Architecture with Honors from Universidad de Belgrano (Buenos Aires, 2000). She is currently a researcher at the Instituto Superior de Urbanismo, Territorio y Ambiente at Universidad de Buenos Aires. In 2021, she was awarded the Professional Certificate in the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions.
Throughout her career, she has served as an external researcher at the Department of Urbanism of the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands); and as a lecturer, visiting professor, and thesis advisor at various universities and institutions, including the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong), Wageningen University (Netherlands), University of Antwerp (Belgium), Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), University of Houston (USA), Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina), and the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Applied Ecohydrology (MAEH), supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. She has participated in peer-reviewed academic publications, international projects and conferences, and international architecture biennials, building a strong profile in global academic cooperation and research.
Since 2013, she has been involved in coordinating the Argentine chapter of the Delta Alliance International knowledge commission, under the framework of Fundación Torcuato Di Tella. She currently continues to engage in academic activities and collaborates with organizations such as the World Bank on projects related to Nature-based Solutions and green infrastructure for climate change adaptation and flood risk reduction.
